One thing about trading on the news.
Always wait for the news to come out first, I’m talking about the major news right here such as Labor, job, restate… and one little trick I do is, don’t look the result of the news, just make sure you know what time will the news come out, Don’t let those forecast numbers or previous numbers fool you! Market’s reaction will tell everything. Because sometimes even it is a bad news market still going up. So all you need to know is the time of the news , and make sure you don’t entry before it!

News can only get me confused and make wrong decisions.
Now what I will check is only the candle and volume.
I have never traded US stocks.
But when trading Chinese A stocks, I prefer to take a look at the whole candle figure first.
I can never make decisions only by looking at parts of the candle figure.

Yes take a look at the whole candle figure are very important, personally
i would look 60 mins, 5 mins then 1597T, so from big to small, small time frame for entry, larger time frame for profit taking, I think that would apply to any king market.
